Hayden Environmental Group
Hayden Environmental has over twenty-five years of source sampling experience gained by testing thousands of sources from a very wide variety of industrial processes. We were one of the first firms in the U.S. to initiate air sampling programs and have basically grown up with the industry. We have seen source sampling develop from five methods for flow and particulates to hundreds of methods that cover the Air Toxics and VOC. We have conducted U.S. EPA-sponsored research into VOC methods, specifically Method 25.

We have a strong commitment to be responsive to our clients' needs and to provide the most accurate and complete data whether testing is for compliance or for process evaluation. We provide trained and experienced project managers and technicians for each project, supported by professional engineers, industrial hygienists and chemists. Our sampling teams (with a combined experience of 70 years) have the training and certifications to work in hazardous atmospheres. We submit reports that thoroughly document the field and analytical data, calculations, process conditions and quality control.
Our mobile laboratory houses our continuous emission monitors (CEM) for on-site real time monitoring of VOC, O2, CO2, CO, NOX and SO2 sources. We certify installed industrial monitors, perform RATA audits and determine VOC collection and destruction efficiencies.
Hayden offers air compliance permitting and engineering services to industry, including the preparation of inventories and audits, BACT and RACT determinations, hazardous air pollutant demonstrations, and air dispersion modeling. We will prepare applications and demonstration reports for initial permits and modifications. We offer engineering services through a sister company, QEI Engineers. These services include process and control system evaluations, hood and duct design and evaluation, and design of control systems, such as catalytic oxidizers, bag houses, scrubbers, biofilters and electrostatic precipitators.
CEM
CEM certification for demonstration of compliance with 40 CFR Part 60 performance specifications 1-4, Part 75, and relative accuracy test audits (RATA).
Chemical Emissions
Emission inventories for SARA Title III, Title V, and Air Toxics as defined by the Clean Air Act's Promulgated Hazardous Air Pollutant Regulations.
Incineration Testing
Capability to plan and conduct the complex testing methodologies required for hazardous waste, municipal and medical waste incinerators; cement kilns; and industrial boilers. Tests include volatile and semi-volatile organic, dioxins and furans, metals, and acid gases using conventional sampling equipment and CEM.
Fugitive Emissions
Conduct fugitive emission testing including screening surveys, bagging and tenting emissions studies, and measurements of area sources or non-point sources such as surface impoundments.
Process Evaluation
Perform mass balance, control device efficiency, and related process evaluations.
